"Dog Day Evening" in Fullerton

Dog Night last Wednesday evening at the Downtown Fullerton

Best vegie stall

market was another success. Yes, there were lots of dogs in all shapes and sizes with no cats to be seen anywhere. Every year at the Fullerton Downtown market on crn of Harbor & Wilshire Blvd we have dog night. No live band playing music to the crowd this night, but plenty of dogs and their owners showing off their best talents on stage. The proud owners sign up for the various segments of the contest that their love ones will perform. Sort of a sloppy affair really seeing a dog kissing the owners all over to see if they won the kissing phase. Then there's the look alike there owners...well that wasn't hard to figure out with some of them. Then there was the fastest eater, another easy one to figure that out... because of the size of the dog. See some of the attached pics I took during the evening. The biggest dog we saw of the night was the great dane, he was huge and the owner told me he weighed 158 lbs. When I think of the cost of keeping and feeding this size dog I felt bad as that could have fed about 25 Somalians because they are starving and don't have anything. The Museum beer garden was packed as all those patrons

care about is a nice cold beer on a warm day and agree. We have had a successful run with a Real Estate booth at the market for the past three years helping people meet their dreams. Some of the food vendors including "Jamie's Farms"and the "Dry Dock" said to me that it was one of their best nights ever for sales. Perhaps we should have the "Dog Day Evening"at the Fullerton market more often!! Cheers for now Glenn

Landscaping in a different area

When my wife and I bought a beautiful home way back in 1978 I remember we were so excited to landscape the outside. We went to Armstrong Nursery in Newport Beach, California where they have a great selection and displays of gardens in the area all laid out on a large lot. We live about 25 miles inland in Fullerton and even though it's still in Orange County it's amazing how different this climate is in this area. I am originally from Australia and there we have several climates like normal countries. But this is not normal, I forget it's a desert and the temperatures varies a lot. I bought plants from that Armstrong Nursery and planted all of the ones I bought. Several weeks not months later most of the plants I thought were great were dead. It goes to show you that even though they may look great only 25 miles away that it pays to buy local plants at a nursery where one lives.

Fullerton Home for Sale

Another Malvern Home  609 W. Malvern Fullerton, 92832

Here we have a nice view home in Fullerton, 609 W. Malvern. At the moment the sellers are fixing it up a wee bit so I will have some latest pictures real soon. It boasts 5 Beds and 2 Baths, which 2 of those Beds and 1 Bath are on the second floor. The upstairs had been added by the previous owner and can sleep 2 kids (one in each room) as the ceiling is at an angle same as the roof line. The rest of the house is nice and the views are great from the huge long porch at the front. All the walls are bull nose and one can feel the breeze while having breakfast in the breakfast nook. The back yard needs a green thumb, over-sized 2 car garage is big and has additional parking for 3 or 4 cars with alley access.  Asking price is now $569,000
